Kemal Monteno Tužna je muzika (1971) single

Kemal Monteno always had such impossibly beautiful voice that it's hard to resist all these emotions even if material sometimes borders on saccharin - very early he perfected this particular sound of heartbroken troubadour (just look at cover photo with puppy dog eyes) and through the years he more or less continued to use this approach ever since. If I need to describe his appeal, I would compare him to Roy Orbison - not the same voice but not far either.

A side is another gloomy ballad (my old Nemesis composer Đorđe Novković provides arrangements but I don't need to know his name to recognize the sound) while B side picks up a beat little and shows Monteno in lighthearted mood - it's almost a shock to hear some happy whistling as intro and than singer bouncing happy (backed by pop group "Pro Arte") - it could almost be a country song in a spirit and it resembles music by "Indexi" a little bit.
